Upcoming AGM and the Committee - Please read
Monday 8th July 2019
Tawa Swim Club is the oldest swim club in Wellington and we are nearly 50 years old. The club has a great combination of junior club swimmers and competitive swimmers.
The club is run by volunteers and a huge amount of work goes on behind the scenes to ensure the club runs successfully. As they say many hands make light work, and this year at the AGM we are looking for volunteers who are willing to help out with the club in some way. We had a great response for our request for a treasurer and I thank you for that.
This year we will also be seeking new committee members and have a few roles needing to be filled such as Uniform Co-ordinator and assisting with events and fundraising.
Whilst this may indicate a large committment, I would like to assure people that any assistance is greatly appreciated. We are happy if people can assist us without needing to commit to making every meeting and getting bogged down in the governance and running of the club. This may be something simple like being put on a roster to put out the coffee/tea out on club nights once a term 15 - 20 minutes only.
If you would like to offer some help and maybe have a few hours free per term, please let us know.
Your committee is here to help and are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
I am sure we will have a great response and I appreciate that you are thinking you may be able to help us out.
Remember to come along to the AGM on Thursday 15th August, 6.30pm in the clubrooms Tawa Pool.
Clive Kirby - President.
